We are blood sisters who hailed from Kwara state, Ajase Ipo to be precise and brought up in Lagos State to the Family of Late Alhaji & Alhaja Oluwanishola Amoo. The Fashion House, Malabis Collections commenced in 2016 with the production of Headwears and Headwraps. In 2018 we started ready to wear collections and bespoke outfits for all women of sizes due to demand from our customers. We designed, create and embellish all types of fabrics for Headwears and Outfits here in Lagos, Nigeria.
The CEO is Mrs. Kudirat Amoo-Bello a master degree holder in Management Information Systems from Coventry University, UK. She worked at an Accounting and Audit Firm in Abuja has the Head of Administration for two years before she ventured into the fashion industry with her senior sister who is the Creative Director Hajiya Mrs. Rukayat Amode.
Mrs Amoo-Bello is happily married to Hon. Kazeem Bello and they are blessed with a son.
Nigerian-British Hajiya Rukayat Amode born and raised in Lagos State, Nigerian. She studied Banking and Finance at Ibadan Polytechnic in Oyo state Nigerian. After living in London, England for 7yrs where she worked at the Royal Borough of Kensington as an Assistant Social worker she and her family moved to Nigeria in 2014.
It was here she started thinking of a fashion career. Not having a fashion degree she went to learn from the best GD Academy located at Surulere, Lagos Nigeria. After then she and her younger sister joined forces to start the company Malabis Collections which is registered in Lagos Nigerian. She's happily married to Mr. Abiodun Amode a Fire, Safety, and Security consultant and they are blessed with a son.
Who owns Malabis Collection?
Malabis Collections is owned by two sisters from Ajase Ipo, Kwara State from the family of Alhaji and Alhaja Oluwanishola Amoo. Our CEO is Mrs. Kudirat Bello and our Creative Director is Hajiya Rukayat Amode. We are both born and raised in Lagos State Nigerian.
What does Malabis Collections do?
We are a fashion house, we source fabrics, we design and create styles for women of different sizes. We produce ready to wear outfits and also offer exquisite bespoke services. Our head wears are unique and crafted using the best materials.
Which year did you start the company?
In October 2016 we started the company and our first collections were Turbans & Headwraps for both women and children. In 2018 we started designing and creating African inspired outfits for today's woman.
Is your company registered?
Yes, we are registered with Corporate Affairs Commission and licensed as a fashion brand.
What inspire your designs?
Our designs are African inspired and a mix of western fabrics, colourful, elegant and of high quality. Our outfits have an ultra-feminine wears and look for today's women.
Who are your clients/customers?
Our customers are women of different sizes, culture, and beliefs who resides in Nigeria, UK, USA, Canada and other countries who love to look stylish, unique and elegant.
How do you measure your customers for your made to measure outfits?
For our overseas customers we usually send a full video on how to do proper measurements. And we also request their sizes e.g UK/USA etc based on the country they reside in. And the same goes to our customers based outside Lagos. Most of our Lagos based customers come to our office to get measured or fitted. So using both systems we get fewer fittings challenges.
Do you take fabrics from customers?
Yes we take fabrics from customers e.g Aso ebi etc for both couture and Headwears.
How do you stay inspired?
We stay inspired by watching trends in fashion home and abroad, through art and our environment. We believe fashion is art and there's no one way to do it.

How do you ship your products to your customers?
We are registered with DHL International for worldwide deliveries. And for nationwide delivery, we are registered with licensed couriers.
In five years where do you see your company?
Our five years projection strategy, we would not just be a fashion house/brand known in Nigeria but the whole World showcasing exquisite African outfits made proudly in Nigeria with our outfits been sold in stores like Selfridges, Macy's and the rest.
