Simple Ways To Make Condensed Milk Right In Your Kitchen



Since they closed border... those of us who use condensed milk know it's been difficult to find. In short, even before border closure, it has been a scarce commodity... but do you know it is so simple to make?

Condensed Milk is just reduced milk by removing or cooking out the water. However, since we usually do not drink cow milk directly in Nigeria, we use either Evaporated or powdered milk, there are easier ways to make your own condensed milk even without cooking.

Though, if your milk is too watery, you may have to cook it down. If you want a very syrupy consistency and one that will last very long, then you will have to make a slightly thick Sugar syrup, add your POWDERED milk, mix in a blender and rest in the fridge.

... But for a simpler version, to use in a recipe that calls for Condensed Milk, you will need
1. Evaporated Milk
2. Sugar ( here you can adjust your sugar, how you like it)
3. Margarine or Butter

Put everything in a blender and whizz away. Store in the fridge, then use for any recipe that calls for condensed milk. No long thing. This can store for about one week but the cooked down type with the syrup can last for almost 6 months or over in the fridge.
