Being A Plus Size Is Not A Crime - By Folakemi

Referring to anyone as Biggy... Orobo simple means you have excessively accumulated fat in your body.

I am Fat, Living healthy and working on it. In the course of doing all this I have to really look Good.

I have to be inviting Tempting and attractive.

The society has different dirty names for us like I said initially Orobo... Fatty... Biggy... Overweight... Making it a Fat Phobic society... To stigmatize.... and discriminate.

Here l come my fellow fatties... I am here to let u know the most important thing we need is Self-love

As a Plus-Size we need Self-love...feeling excessive pride, an exceptional interest in yourself and self-admiration.
All the above build our confidence and the belief we hold that we are valuable a worthy person.

So many Ladies out there get moody and breed complex immediately they are referred to as Orobo... Please, Orobo get grade.

While we work on getting our weight regular, we need to be Big and Attractive... BoldTempting, Beautiful and Inviting

I’m going to highlight a fashion plus sized should not go near

1. Orobo should Not wear a dress that is SKIN TIGHT. This makes all the bumps and lumps visible
2. We dare not go close to a pleated skirt or trousers... It is full and makes you  bigger
3. We should avoid patterned prints... Loud prints... Big Flowers and heavily patterned prints
4. Avoid wide belts.

Chocker necklace is a no go arena

(To be continued)

  1. Beautiful write up Folakemi. There is nothing more rare, nor more beautiful, than a woman being unapologetically herself and comfortable in her perfect imperfection. To me that is the true essence of beauty

  2. Nice one though, been fatty or Orobo whatever is not a sin but depends on how much you can carry yourself. Be yourself and be proud. Folakemi, thumps up.

  3. Folakemi, I love your confidence & boldness! Being FAT or PHAT in American way does not make you indisposed or have low self esteem. It's how you see your self, carry your self. The attitude you exhibit is how people will accept you.
Definition of FAT or PHAT in American way is...[FAT- Foxy Attractively Tempting. PHAT- Pretty Hot and Tempting]. It's how you represent your self wherever you are that people will accept you. Self-love means living with intention and not haphazardly: Life with design and purpose means that you are fulfilling your destiny, and you wake up in the morning and you are ready to face the day enthusiastically and with a positive attitude. That is when you know that you love yourself!!

One has to know oneself by appreciating yourself before others can accept you. Have humor, be very mindful, protect yourself, set boundaries with those that put you down.

Respect your uniqueness and allow your authenticity. ...Give yourself the space to feel your emotions. ...Practice gratitude for yourself and your body. ...Remember the common humanity you share with everyone but you have to always stand tall with self confidence without allowing low self esteem to pull you down.

In other word...it simply means you just need to fully accept and allow your true, natural self to freely express boldness without holding back while working on yourself. Embrace the unique being you are and fully express the unique energy that represents the very core of your being. This is true self-love and I agree, it is not an easy thing to do but achievable! Good luck all beautiful ladies!
